Our technical capabilities

GRZ Technologies has specialized in metal hydride applications for years. By today, the company is one of the worldwide leaders in this technology. We use metal hydrides both to store hydrogen and to build hydrogen compressors (HyCo Hydrogen Compressors). In our own materials laboratories, GRZ’s scientists use state-of-the-art equipment to develop new application-specific alloys. Continuous enhancement of our product quality for our customers is central to our identity. In addition to development activities, our material scientists are also responsible for comprehensive quality control.

Our experts in the field of pressure equipment are responsible for the in-house production of pressure equipment. This pressure equipment is a central part of the metal-hydrides solutions. The pressure equipment engineers are busy with the further development of welding processes. They also collaborate with quality control and are responsible for the continuous optimization of the designs. Adapted pressure equipment reduces costs and enables meeting strict technical requirements. Our customers thus receive a system that meets all requirements and is cost-efficient. GRZ employs specialized thermal engineers who check and optimize the thermal system properties for our products and for customer projects. Our software specialists are responsible for the development of the control systems. They also support our customers in the integration of our products into higher-level control systems.

However, even if all individual parts work well for themself, a hydrogen project can only succeed if all parts play together. Only then, the technology lives up to its promise to be a vital part of an energy system capturing the energy of the sun and preserving it to power our daily lives. This is what we work for every day, a world fueled by renewable energy –  day and night, summer and winter.

We strive to realize an energy system in which hydrogen is the dominant energy carrier. This is enabled with our producs. They process low-pressure hydrogen to deliver on-demand electric power, high-pressure hydrogen, and carbon-neutral synthetic methane.
